Soldiergirl: Amalgamation of: James ‘Bucky’ Barnes + Supergirl Real Name: Kara Barnes Alias: Death Soldier (Winter Soldier + Apokoliptic Supergirl) [Brainwashed by Deathseid (Thanos + Darkseid)] Biography: Born in the 1920s, Kara Barnes is the younger cousin of Clark Rogers, who became the American superhero known as Super-Soldier (Captain America + Superman). When Clark was presumed dead at the end of World War II, the American Government tried to recreate the Super-Soldier Serum that gave Clark his powers, and Kara (being a close genetic relative) was one of the test subjects. The process had an ill effect on Kara, as did the other subjects, so she was put in suspended animation. The scientists later gave up on recreating the Serum, so they closed the labs and placed the cryogenics pods in a storage facility in Gothton, MS (Boston + Gotham City). In the 2000s era, an earthquake happened in Gothton, which killed the other frozen subjects, but awakened Kara. Kara wandered aimlessly through this strange world, until her stabilized powers attracted crimelords who wanted to use her to control the city. The tech-based hero Iron Bat (Iron Man + Batman) saved her from being controlled by Oswald Hammer (Justin Hammer + Penguin) and soon enough reunited her with her cousin Clark, who was also frozen. After becoming used to the future and her new powers, Kara Barnes decided to join her cousin in the superhero community as “Soldiergirl”. As a member of the Justice Avengers, Soldiergirl would go on various adventures, from being brainwashed by the villain Deathseid to meeting her other-dimensional counterpart Power Soldier (Rikki Barnes + Power Girl). Powers: Superhuman strength/speed/stamina/agility/reflexes/senses/aim (though less than that of Super-Soldier). Absorption of yellow solar energy and conversion of it into her powers. Laser vision. X-Ray vision. Freezing breath. Flight. Considerable martial arts training and athleticism.
Steel Falcon: Amalgamation of: Falcon + Steel Real Name: Samuel Nathan Irons Alias: Abraham Johnson Biography: Sam Irons is a child prodigy, but just as he was about to graduate from high school when his single mother was killed by a mugger. Angry at the world, Sam dropped out and joined a gang, but he never lost his affinity for technology. When his gang was busted for gun-running, Sam was arrested and his blueprints were confiscated by police. The blueprints attracted businessman Lex Schmidt Jr. who paid for Sam’s release and gave him a job at his R&D firm, Lexcorp. Some time after the reemergence of Super-Soldier in the modern world, he saved Sam’s life in a construction accident. Waking from unconsciousness, he saw Super-Soldier and a falcon standing over him, and he became inspired to become a hero. Adopting the falcon (as both a persona and the actual falcon as a pet, naming him Redwing), Sam started work on a suit of powered armor and other weapons. When Mr. Schmidt found his employee’s “off-hours activities”, he sent guards to get rid of Sam and steal the armor. Sam defended himself with his technology, and Redwing fought alongside him. Super-Soldier arrived in the building to see what the commotion was about, seeing Lex use an electric shock to disable the suit. This was when Sam learned what Clark already knew: that Lex Schmidt Jr. was the new Green Skull (Red Skull + Lex Luthor). After escaping the Green Skull’s lair, Sam became Super-Soldier’s new ally, the Steel Falcon. Sam’s niece Natasha Wilson (Jim Wilson + Natasha Irons) later died of AIDS, but she downloaded her mind into a robot body, becoming the second Steel Falcon. Powers: Sam Irons is a brilliant inventor. His armor grants him: superhuman strength/durability/endurance, flight, projectile blades, various scanners and wireless connections, and a sonic emitter that allows him to manipulate birds. His mechanical sledgehammer can extend up to 10 feet, fire electric blasts, and has jet boosters and a tracking system so it can return to him when thrown.
Red Guard III: Amalgamation of: Guardsman II + Robin III/Red Robin Real Name: Michael Drake Biography: The original Red Guard, the sidekick of Iron Bat, was Dick Rhodes, who later became the hero Warwing (War Machine + Nightwing). The second was Justine Todd, the adopted daughter of Oswald Hammer and future villain Scarlet Cape (Crimson Cowl II + Red Hood II). The third and current Red Guard is Mike Drake, who was raised by his wealthy aunt and uncle after the deaths of his parents. After his uncle Kevin was killed in the midst of a crime spree that was quelled by Iron Bat, Mike started investigating Iron Bat’s possible connection to businessman Tony Wayne. He found the Bat-Armory beneath Tony’s mansion and donned the Red Guard armor to take his revenge against Iron Bat, believing him to be responsible for his uncle’s death. The armor backfired in the middle of the fight, and put Mike in a coma. During the months Mike spent in a vegetative state, Iron Bat was able to compile the evidence that proves that it was the criminal known as Dr. Boomerang (Boomerang + Captain Boomerang) who killed Kevin Drake. After accepting Mike’s apology, Tony invited him to become the new Red Guard. Mike, now Red Guard III, currently finds himself in a relationship with another member of the Iron Bat family, Stephanie Elkins aka Alert (Sentry [Curtis Elkins] + Spoiler). Powers: Powered armor to the user provides superhuman/strength/reflexes/durability/stamina, jet-powered flight, and various weapons and tools in utility belt.
Iron Bat 2020: Amalgamation of: Iron Man 2020 + Azrael Alias: Arno Valley Biography: In the future year of 2020, a cabal of evil scientists, led by the woman known as Sunset (Sunset Bain + Bane), began cloning the DNA of Tony Wayne to create an assassin to serve them. The original Iron Bat had since disappeared in this time, and replaced by Dick Rhodes as Iron Bat 2.0 (Iron Man 2.0 + Batman II), so Sunset decided to end the Iron Bat legacy before it began by using experimental time-travel technology. The clone assassin, wearing a version of the Iron Bat armor, was about to enter the time portal when Iron Bat 2.0 arrived to thwart the scheme. The portal malfunctioned and sent the assassin to the 2000s era, while Tony is still Iron Bat. Stuck in the past, the clone took on the identity of Arno Valley to continue his mission to kill Tony Wayne. After Iron Bat saved Arno, in his civilian guise, from a crime lord, Arno rejected his “birthright” and allied himself with Iron Bat. Arno took on the identity of “Iron Bat 2020” and defended Gothton for a time after Tony’s spine was broken by the younger version of Sunset. Powers: Above average strength and agility, even without the suit, along with a high intelligence. The armor grants him even greater strength, along with laser cannons, retractable blades, a grappling hook, flight capabilities, scanners, wireless internet connections, smoke-bombs, and a cloaking system.
Scarlet Magician: Amalgamation of: Scarlet Witch + Zatanna Zatara Real Name: Wanda Zatara Biography: Wanda Zatara’s biological father is Jean-Luc Lensherr, a French metamutant (mutant + metahuman) who helped fight against the Nazi forces controlling France. When his twin children were born, some time after he became the terrorist mastermind Magnetron (Magneto + The Brain), an enemy of the X-Patrol (X-Men + Doom Patrol), Jean-Luc sent his babies away to America, where he knew they would lead better lives. The twins were separated and were adopted by two different families. The girl twin was adopted by Dr. Anthony Zatara (Dr. Druid + John Zatara) and his wife Jillian Zatara (Shadowoman + Sindella), and she was named Wanda. Dr. Zatara, a stage magician and former student of the One of Order (Ancient One + Lord of Order), began training her in the arts of magic when she was 10, and she became quite a magic-user. But, when her mother passed away in a car crash, Wanda began acting out. She rebelled against her father and ran away from home. Wanda, at 15 years old, was later kidnapped by a cult, who summoned the demon lord Mephistrigon (Mephisto + Trigon). Mephistrigon raped the captive Wanda before a group of light-side warriors raided the cult's temple and slaughtered the cultists. The warrior monks brought Wanda to Azarath, a city-state in another dimension, where she learned that the demon impregnated her. Wanda gave birth in Azarath, to a girl she named Rachel (who later became the magic heroine Ravican [Wiccan + Raven]). After five years with her daughter, Wanda returned to her father on Earth and continued her training. She finished her training, and became the powerful heroine known as the Scarlet Magician. After taking over her father’s stage act as the Princess of Prestidigitation, Wanda was reunited real father, who was reduced to existence as a brain in a robot shell. This is also the same event that reunited her with his long-lost twin sister, Peter Allen, a super-speedster. Peter and Wanda, as Silverflash and Scarlet Magician, aided their father against the X-Patrol, who eventually told them the truth about Magnetron’s true intentions. Betrayed, the twins battled their father and his Brotherhood (… of Mutants + … of Evil) and then defected back to the Justice Avengers. Powers: Wanda’s magical training combined with her metamutant genetics make her one of the most powerful beings on Earth. Her mantra, which helps focus her reality-controlling spells, is saying the desired effect backwards; then a sphere of magic is projected from her body, which creates the desired result when in contact with either the air or the object or creature she wishes to manipulate. For example, if she wants to set a tree on fire, she says “ezalba eert, ” and a ‘hexbolt’ is shot from her hands, setting a tree on fire when they make contact. Scarlet Magician also possess other magical talents that don’t require her to speak her mantra to be activated, such as sensing other magical forces, above-human cellular regeneration, and high intelligence in the realm of sorcery.
She-Nova: Amalgamation of: She-Hulk + Jade Real Name: Jennifer-Lynn “Jenny” Walters Alias: Green Nova (Nova + Green Lantern), She-Giant Biography: In the 1930s, Dr. Phineas Horton discovered an alien artifact, which he used to create a powerful sentient android that became the heroic Human Lantern (Jim Hammond + Alan Scott). Exposure to the alien artifact also affected the biology of Horton and his lab assistants. These mutations were ultimately benign, and were passed down to Dr. Horton’s two daughters, his only children; Jessica Horton married Air Force pilot Brian Jordan, and Jenny Horton married sheriff Bill Walters. All of Dr. Horton’s descendants inherited the mutation, but only two so far have been able to harness it. Bruce Jordan, son of Jessica and Brian, realized his inherent mutation when he survived the gamma bomb detonation that contributed to his transformation into the Green Giant (Hulk + Green Lantern [Hal Jordan]). When he was visiting his cousin Jennifer-Lynn Walters, a newspaper photographer in Loshaven, California (Los Angeles + Bludhaven), she was gunned down in her home by gangsters she helped expose in the paper. Green Giant smashed the criminals, and rushed Jenny-Lynn to the hospital. The doctors accepted Bruce’s blood for a transfusion to save Jenny’s life; Bruce, after studying his own genetics, knew that if Jennifer-Lynn didn’t have the same genetic quirk as him, the gamma-irradiated blood transfusion would have killed her. While recovering soundly in the hospital, Jenny was attacked by more thugs, one of whom tried to rape her. That’s when her new abilities manifested, and she used her newfound strength and energy powers to defeat her assailants. The stress of this caused her to go on a rampage, which her cousin, as Green Giant, stopped. Bruce took Jenny to the planet Oaxan (Xandar + Oa), HQ of the Green Nova Corps (Nova Corps + Green Lantern Corps), and they helped her control her powers. Jenny became Earth’s first female Green Nova, also known as She-Nova, a member of the Justice Avengers. She also dated her fellow Green Nova Rich Rayner (Rich Rider + Kyle Rayner). Powers: Superhuman strength/speed/stamina/durability/senses/healing. Manipulation of the green light spectrum, allowing her to fly, survive in space and underwater, translate any language, communicate with her fellow Green Novas, and create “solid-light” constructs that look and function like anything she can imagine.
Wingspan: Amalgamation of: Hank Pym (Antman/Giant-Man) + Hawkman Real Name: Dr. Carter Pym Biography: In ancient Egypt, an alien pod from space crash landed in the desert and was discovered by a priest and his wife. The two became infused with the strange energies emitted by the machine and became powerful heroes of their land. When they passed away, their souls began the endless cycle of reincarnation. In every era of time they are reborn in, the heroes retain their love for each other and always end up together. In their second-to-last lives, they became gunslingers in the American West, going by the names Frank Hawkes (Frank Drake + Night Hawk) and Rachel Manser (Rachel Van Helsing + Cinnamon); Frank and Rachel were allies of the vampire hunter Hex Blade (Blade + Jonah Hex). In the modern age, they are now reincarnated as scientist Carter Pym and his girlfriend Kendra Van Dyne. Dr. Carter Pym is a scientist who, along with others, were contracted by a millionaire scientist to create a prototype synthetic organism powered by a radioactive ore. Unfortunatly, the creation, dubbed Metoltron (Ultron + Metallo), went rogue and went on a rampage. Assembling his other scientific advancements into a coherent uniform, Carter faced Metoltron as the high-flying Wingspan. Wingspan defeated Metoltron, who was about to slay the heroic Super-Soldier, and the mechanical menace would return to plague the superhero community ever since. Super-Soldier invited Wingspan to join the Justice Avengers, which he did. Powers: Carter is a brilliant scientist in the fields of micro-physics and neurobiology. As Wingspan, Carter’s skin-suit is made of a neuro-mesh weave that hooks onto the nervous system of the wearer; nanochambers interwoven into the suit contain an atomic-chemical agent that reduces or increases the number of molecules in a material. This agent, activated by the neuro-mesh, allows Carter to shrink himself to the size of an ant and grow back to his normal size and change to any size in between, all while maintaining his current physique. The agent also allows him to carry a number of tools on his person, such as an electricity-generating mace and a set of mechanical wings (activated by the neuro-mesh) that allow him to fly. Previously, the agent could give him the ability to grow up to fifty feet in height, greatly increasing his strength, but this functionality was abandoned when he couldn’t alleviate the stress his giant size would put on his heart. Carter’s helmet contains a sonics-conversion system that allows him to control nearby birds.
Wasp Girl: Amalgamation of: Janet Van Dyne (The Wasp) + Hawkgirl Real Name: Kendra Van Dyne Biography: Kendra Van Dyne was raised by her wealthy uncle Cyrill Van Dyne (Vernon Van Dyne + Cyrill “Speed” Saunders). Cyrill was the one who commissioned the creation of Metoltron, but he was soon enough slain by the rogue machine. After Metoltron was destroyed by Wingspan, its remains were stolen by the Green Skull’s minions with the intention of rebuilding him. Kendra, who has feelings for Dr. Pym, insisted that she’d join Wingspan on finding the remains, lest her uncle’s fate be shared by others. Using his research, he created a similar skinsuit that gave her powers (though insect-based instead of bird-based), and she became the heroine Wasp Girl, a new Justice Avenger. Powers: Wearing the same kind of neuro-mesh skin suit as her boyfriend, Carter Pym, Kendra can shrink down to any size while retaining her shape. With technology based more on insects, Wasp Girl can sonically control bugs, fly on insectoid wings that flap at 200 beats a second, and project a concentrated stream of biokinetic energy from her hands. She also wields an electro-shock mace like Carter.

Billy Lawson, an orphan from Cape Canaveral with aspirations of space travel, was proven to be the perfect vessel for the wizard’s powers. After passing the six trials, Intezam bestowed the Nega-bands unto Billy, giving him the powers of six gods for the purpose of doing good. By speaking the word “Shazam” while wearing the bands, Billy transforms into the superhero Captain Marvel! Captain Marvel has many allies, from the members of the Justice Avengers to his long-lost twin sister, who became the heroine Carol Marvel (Ms. Marvel + Mary Marvel), but he also faces numerous villains, from the scientific scoundrel called the Wicked Thinker (Mad Thinker + Dr. Sivana) and the brain-controlling Submind (Sublime + Mr. Mind) to the evil former apprentice of Intezam, The Black Dragon (Dragon of the Moon + Black Adam). There, the nameless man met another ship-wrecked survivor, Arthur Chisholm, a circus archer. Arthur taught the man to use a hand-crafted bow and arrow set, which they used to hunt for food; the nameless man used his skills to shoot down a hawk, a shot that Arthur couldn’t make, so he took the name “Hawk Arrow”. After they were rescued, Arthur invited Hawk, who had yet to regain his memory, to join his circus act. After months of working for the circus, Arthur took Hawk out for a boy’s night out, only to reveal that they were actually going to assassinate a politician with their archery skills. Hawk prevented Arthur (aka Magic Shot [Trick Shot + Merlyn]) from killing the man, and they duked it out in the condemned building. Not willing to live as an assassin’s student, Hawk set the building on fire in hopes to kill the killer. Hawk escaped the flames, and the long hair he grew on the island was burnt off, and the firefighters recognized him as presumed-dead Oliver Barton. After recovering in the hospital, Ollie was determined to find Magic Shot’s mysterious benefactors and protect the people of his city from them. Resuming the use of the name “Hawk Arrow” in his superhero career, Ollie uses his money and intelligence to build trick arrows and other tools in his war on evil. He also took on a runaway named Kate Harper as his partner Red Bishop (Lady Hawkeye + Red Arrow). Hawk Arrow is also dating his fellow Justice Avenger Dinah “Black Bird” Morse. During WWII, the android dubbed itself the “Red Sentry” and helped the All-Star Invaders (Invaders + All-Star Squadron) battle the evil Axis forces. Nazi scientists stole the original blueprints to Red Sentry’s robot body, and created their own android super-weapon, called the “Flame Void” (The Void + Red Volcano). The final battle between the Red Sentry and the Flame Void resulted in the destruction of a small Eastern European village and the deaths of about 100 villagers. Though he destroyed the Flame Void, the destruction he caused disheartened Red Sentry, and so he asked the One of Order, Earth's then Sorcerer Supreme, to remove the memories of him from everyone on Earth. Years later, Red Sentry, now living in the human guise of John Reynolds, was summoned by the Mother Spirit Maya to stop the second coming of the Flame Void. With the Flame Void becoming more powerful by the minute, Red Sentry was forced to join forces with the other elementals, Naiaduct (Aquaduct + Naiad) of Water, Swampman (Man-Thing + Swamp Thing) of Earth, and Martin Parrish (Max Parrish + Martin Stein) of Fire.
