King Hippodin and King Vilope

Hippodin:
Amalgamation Of: Odin + Hippolyta
Biography: King Hippodin his the long-lived, vastly wise, and mightily empowered ruler of the secret island nation of Themsgard (Asgard + Themyscira), home of the immortal warrior race called the Amazardians (Asgardians + Amazons). The Amazardians were forged from the clay of the Earth's ocean bed, and the souls of the innocent and just trapped inside the crust of the planet, by the Old Eternal named Borzaz (Bor + Arzaz), who remained on Earth after completing his task laid forth by the Presence-Above-All (One-Above-All + The Presence). As the other Old Eternals exterminated each other in a bloody civil war after the Presence-Above-All's disappearance (leading to the genesis of the New Eternals [Eternals + New Gods]), Borzaz remained on Themsgard to bring peace and prosperity to his subjects. His most beloved creations of life he took on as his own sons: Hippodin, Vilope, and Balippe. Vilope would later form his own kingdom far from Themsgard, and Balippe sacrificed his own life to save his brothers from the evil Fire Angel (Surtur + Dark Angel), leaving Hippodin to claim responsibility for the crown of Themsgard.
North of Themsgard, a prosperous trading country, lied the Greco-Roman empire on the mainland, ruled by the Olympians, early metamutants (mutants + metahumans) worshiped as gods. Zeus, patriarch of the Olympians, sent his daughter Heracles to be the consort of the Prince Hippodin, but it was merely a ruse for the Olympians’ forces to invade Themsgard when their defenses were lowered. Hippodin’s father was critically injured in the war, and he used his remaining power to grant his son and their people immortality before dying. The Amazardians repelled the enemy, and later found a new land to escape another war. Now King of the Amazardians, Hippodin decreed that contact with the outside world was forbidden. Centuries pass, as centuries do, and the Amazardians crafted a grand empire from the ashes of the Olympians’ siege. The new land they claimed as their own was populated with several monstrous races, vying for supremacy, so the immortals forged many fantastic weapons and armor, the most mighty of which being The Enchanted Flail (Mjolnir the God Hammer + The Golden Lasso of Truth).
The mighty King Hippodin, seeking an heir to the throne, gained the favor of Gaea, mighty spirit-queen of the Earth, and laid with her, conceiving their daughter Thorana. Later, Hippodin discovered a child of frost giants, left to die for her small size, and raised her alongside Thorana as “Cerki” (Loki + Circe).
Many years ago, the Champion of Themsgard, wielder of the Enchanted Flail, had fallen in battle, so Hippodin devised a contest to determine who was the next worthy Amazardian to wield the power. Hippodin forbade his daughters Thorana and Cerki from participating, but they disguised themselves and face each other in the final match. Thorana won and was bonded to the Enchanted Flail, becoming the Champion (aka the Thunder Woman). In modern times, humans from the outside world sought sanctuary in Themsgard, but Hippodin refused; Thorana took mercy upon them, though and helped them return to their world, so Hippodin, against his love for his family, banished her from Themsgard.
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/stamina/durability/speed/agility/reflexes; accelerated healing; near-unrivaled magical abilities; vast knowledge of all things cosmic and mystical (almost matching that of Dr. Strangefate [Dr. Strange + Dr. Fate]), obtained through sacrificing his eye in the Well of Eternity; mastery of Amazardian combat skills and weapons; well-versed diplomat and tactician; can travel far and wide upon the back of his mystic 8-legged horse or at the helm of his ship, which can navigate the sea of space.

Vilope:
Amalgamation Of: Vili + Antiope
Biography: King Vilope is the brother of King Hippodin, ruler of Themsgard. Vilope broke from his elder brother's kingdom and his followers formed a new nation called Norn-Mighdall (Nornheim + Bana-Mighdall) somewhere in North Africa. As the King of Norn-Mighdall, Vilope commissioned the forging of the Norn Stones, the keys to a powerful cloaking barrier that protects their city, and the Torment Armor (Destroyer Armor + Shim'Tar), their most powerful weapon of invasion; Vilope's nephew Balippe, name for his late father, Vilope's and Hippodin's elder brother, beheld a vision of the future that speaks of destruction using the Torment Armor for Balippe's sake, so he left Norn-Mighdall for Themsgard to prevent this madness. As for Vilope, he was smitten with a beautiful warrior woman and married her, but her vengeful ex-husband, blinded and left for dead at her hands, murdered both of them with the aide of Vilope's niece Cerki, a vengeful sorceress. With his dying breath, Vilope left rulership of Norn-Mighdall to his most trusted adviser Karnemis (Karnilla + Artemis).
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/stamina/durability/speed/agility/reflexes; accelerated healing; magical abilities; mastery of Amazardian combat skills and weapons; well-versed diplomat and tactician.

Outward from Right:
Dr. Steve Foster and Dr. Etta Kincaid

Dr. Steve Foster:
Amalgamation Of: Jane Foster + Steve Trevor
Real Name: Colonel Doctor Steven Peter Foster, PhD
Alias: “Captain Thunder” (Thordis + Captain Wonder)
Biography: Steve Foster was a decommissioned colonel for the American military before he obtained his medical doctorate and joined Doctors Without Borders. During one mission to a relief effort in Europe, their plane was caught up in a turbulent storm that left them wrecked on an uncharted island. They were discovered by the island's inhabitants, immortal human-like beings called the Amazardians. Steve and Princess Thorana were immediately smitten with each other and she pleaded to her father, King Hippodin, to grant the outsiders sanctuary so they can tend to their injured. Hippodin was adamant of upholding the decree of no interaction with outsiders, so he ordered their execution. Thorana refused this and fought against her own people to help the humans escape. After making it to Hippodin's ship, the only transport to the outside world, Hippodin himself teleported to the deck and released a brilliant blast of light.
The humans reappeared on American shores in a rubber life raft the next morning, with no memory of the Amazardians. Except their number was boosted by one with the inclusion of Dr. Diana Blake, who had really died on the shores of that lost kingdom. Hippodin's magical blast initiated his own daughter's banishment from Themsgard, transforming her into Diana Blake, with all of her memories. The doctors resumed their normal lives, with Steve and Diana working in a hospital in the city of San Gateway, California (San Francisco + Gateway City). Walking with a limp and supporting herself with a gnarled tree branch she became fond of over their lost island endeavor, Diana realized who she really was when metahuman terrorists struck the city and her true memories came back; with a tap of her cane, Diana Blake once again became the heroine Thunder Woman! Now a hero of the outside world, Thorana and Steve became lovers.
The insidious sorcerer known as Amorko the Enchanter (Enchantress + Dr. Psycho) learned of Thorana's human love and, seeking to control Thunder Woman for himself, forcefully merged her essence with Steve, changing him temporarily into the merciless “Captain Thunder”.
Powers: Skilled military pilot and medical doctor; possessed many of the abilities of Thunder Woman when he was “Captain Thunder”.

Dr. Etta Kincaid:
Amalgamation Of: Keith Kincaid + Etta Candy
Biography: Etta Kincaid first met Steve Foster when they were medics in the American military, with Etta as his assistant. After their service ended, they were both employed at the same hospital in the city of San Gateway; their relationship blossomed into romance and they were soon married. When Steve joined Doctors Without Borders, Etta remained at the hospital, eventually getting promoted to resident physician. When news came of Steve's plane crashing in the North Atlantic and no survivors found, Etta feared the worst and decided to move on with her life. It became incredibly awkward when Steve and other survivors returned alive and Etta had just found someone else, since their marriage was nullified by default. Soon Steve was able to move on from their marriage, but when he was seen with the city's new superheroine Thunder Woman, Etta couldn't help but feel jealous...
Powers: Skilled medical doctor.

Bottom Row, L-R:

Thunder Girl:
Amalgamation Of: Thor Girl + Wonder Girl (Donna Troy)
Alias: Donna Tarene
Biography: A young alien girl was born on a distant planet, which was later decimated by the invading armies of Deathseid (Thanos + Darkseid), tyrant of the planet Apoktan (Titan + Apokolips). Thunder Woman and the other members of the Justice Avengers (Avengers + Justice League) drove off the invaders, though failed to prevent them from slaughtering thousands, including the parents of a young alien girl. Thorana felt sympathy for her and decided to grant her sanctuary in Themsgard. Known as Donna Tarene, based on the pronunciation of her un-spellable alien name, the girl was looked upon as Thorana's sister and became a well-loved member of her family. After extensive training in Themsgardian combat skills and magic, Hippodin bestowed Donna her own version of Thorana’s Enchanted Flail, changing her onto the first Thunder Girl, loyal sidekick of Thunder Woman! Thunder Girl would later carve her own future as a solo hero, and later join with other young heroes to form the Teen Avengers (Young Avengers + Teen Titans)! While recovering from serious battle wounds, Donna allowed a human girl named Cassandra Watson (Mary Jane Watson + Cassandra Sandsmark) to replace her as Thunder Girl; as the Thunder Girl of the Teen vengers, Cassie fell in love with her teammate Spider Boy (Spider-Man + Superboy). Later, Donna nearly sacrificed her own existence to prevent the evil Fire Angel from controlling Thorana, but she was saved from this dark power with the help of the multiversal wanderer known as The Event (Blink + Harbinger).
Powers: Super strength/durability/stamina; flight; reduced aging. Magic flail can extend its chain and wrap around others to force them to tell the truth. Flail can also retract into the handle so it can fire energy blasts.

Sila:
Amalgamation Of: Sif + Mala
Alias: Rose Que'Am
Biography: Sila is a childhood friend of Princess Thorana, and the younger half-sister of Nudall, captain of the Themsgardian military. A skilled warrior trained by her brother and others, Sila and Thorana were the objects of desire for many an Amazardian male; Cerki, Thorana's sister, once cut off all her blonde hair in Sila's sleep out of jealousy, but it grew back a majestic amber. Sila's and Nudall's father was the warden of a prison used by the Amazardians, but when his apprentice, Cerki's daughter Helyta (Hel + Lyta), killed him and made the prisoners into her army of evil, Sila took his place as the warden of the rebuilt prison.
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/durability/stamina/speed/agility/reflexes; expert warrior; magic sword that can cut tears in space-time, allowing for teleportation.

Nudall:
Amalgamation Of: Heimdall + Nubia
Biography: The children of one father and two separate mothers, Nudall and his younger half-sister Sila are two of Themsgard's greatest defenders. Mystically training his senses to encompass all of Themsgard so none may act within without his knowledge, Nudall became a highly skilled warrior and soon enough a high-ranking captain of the royal guard. He was suggested to compete in the tournament to decide the wielder of the Enchanted Flail, but that responsibility meant leaving Themsgard sometimes and his skills were best needed there. After a major jailbreak from the cosmic prison the Amazardians used, Nudall assigned himself to protect the Doom-Frost (Bifrost + Doom's Doorway), the gateway between Themsgard and the prison. When his father, the warden of the prison, was murdered, and all of the criminals and terrors sealed within made their way to the Doom-Frost, Nudall's un-rivaled senses already picked it up and he quickly summoned reenforcements to his aide; a few of the prisoners escaped but the rest were either captured or killed in the battle. Nudall was ashamed of himself for not acting sooner, though that was the best he could do; King Hippodin gave Nudall a chance to redeem himself by using his senses to find his exiled daughter Thorana and send her a message: Many terrors have crossed the Doom-Frost and seek dominion upon the mortal world. Aide us in the quelling of the plague and you shall be at my side once again.
Powers: Nudall's most valuable traits are senses of sight, smell, and hearing that are super-humanly acute, encompassing a radius that is roughly the area of all of Themsgard; he also trained himself how to filter out certain stimulation of senses so he can only detect possible threats incoming without spying on everyone else. Superhuman strength/speed/agility/stamina/durability/aim/reflexes; mastery of Amazardian weapons and fighting skills.

The Warriors Three:

Fandia:
Amalgamation Of: Fandral + Sofia
Alias: Trevor Constantina
Biography: The Warriors Three are a brotherhood of three skilled and brave Amazardian warriors who seek epic adventure and battle great evil. Though allies of Thunder Woman, the Champion of their home of Themsgard, the warriors Fandia, Volsana, and Philigun started out as hapless pawns of the malicious Olympian Empire, ancient enemies of Themsgard. The seeds of nettle lotuses, a poisonous plant used as weapons by the Olympians, were blown to their shores one night on the winds (such as seemingly natural thing was noticed by the superhumanly-accute senses of the guardian Nudall, but not taken as the threat it turns out to be). The plant's toxins were mixed with their crops, and come harvest a handful of vegetables, fruits, and grains were infected with the lotus toxins that were eaten by the unsuspecting Amazardians. Those infected were mentally controlled by the Olympians and made to sabotage the Amethyst Tree (Yggdrasil the World Tree + The Purple Healing Ray), one of Themsgard's greatest weapons; without the Tree, Themsgard was left defenseless to an Olympian invasion. The mind-controlled Fandia, Volsana, and Philigun were cleansed of the toxin by the spirit of the previous Champion, Thunder Woman's predecessor, who reached into the mortal plain long enough to tell them how to restore the Amethyst Tree. The heroes battled the Olympians' monster army to recover a seed of the tree to replant it; the Amethyst Tree quickly regrew and healed the Amazardians to repel the enemy. Ever since their first victory, the rebellious Fandia, the eager Volsana, and the dour Philigun have served Themsgard well as the self-titled “Warriors Three”.
Their first venture beyond the shores of Themsgard to the mortal world (where Fandia took up the human alias of “Trevor Constantinas”) was to help Lady Sila and the precognitive warrior Balippe find the exiled Princess Thorana, who is the current Champion, aka Thunder Woman, so they may destroy a horde of demons that escaped Amazardian justice.
Powers: Immortal; superhuman physical prowess; skilled swordsman.

Volsana:
Amalgamation Of: Volstagg + Orana
Alias: Maria Starwit
Biography: Volsana is a powerful Amazardian warrior woman of great girth, great stature, and great heart. She was one of many contestants in a tournament that determined the worthy successor to the Champion of Themsgard, wielder of the Enchanted Flail. In the semi-finals, Volsana did battle against an unnamed, masked woman, who was later revealed to be Princess Thorana in disguise. Over the course of the battle, Thorana noticed that the masonry of the centuries-old arena was crumbling and finally giving way, threatening the lives of the spectators. She left the ring, knowing full well that it was a disqualification, but she didn't care for innocent lives were at stake. Volsana followed, realizing what happened and followed her masked foe in saving the bystanders from mortal danger. Because she was the first to break the rules, the masked Thorana was to be disqualified from the tournament, but Volsana surrendered before the judgment was carried out, realizing that Thorana was more worthy of the duties of Themsgard's defender, should she win the final round.
In the end, the masked warrior woman revealed herself to be Princess Thorana after she defeated her opponent in the finals (who turned out to be her sister Cerki), and claimed the power of the Champion to become the Thunder Woman.
As for Volsana, she trained her mind and body to become a worthy adversary in her own right. When she and others were brainwashed by the Olympians to sabotage the Amethyst Tree, Volsana, Fandia, and Philigun were cleansed of the mind-warping toxins by the spirit of the previous champion so they can drive away the invaders and replant the Amethyst Tree.
Under the human alias of “Maria Starwit”, Volsana and her new friends Fandia and Philigun, together as The Warriors Three, traveled to the mortal world to find the banished Thorana and help her defeat the terrors that escaped the Themsgardian prison system.
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/stamina/durability/reflexes/senses; skilled combatant with weapons or with hand-to-hand; superhumanly voracious eater, capable of eating large quantities of food in brief periods of time or even eating heavily dense or dangerous substances with little ill side-effects.

Philigun:
Amalgamation Of: Hogun + Philippus
Alias: Philip Newley
Biography: Philigun is a stalwart and level-headed Amazardian warrior, who was born in the kingdom of Norn-Mighdall but decided to leave and make him home in Themsgard. An officer of the Themsgardian military, humble and by the books, he was oddly attracted to the fun-loving, light-hearted personalities of his friends Fandia and Volsana, also skilled Amazardian fighters. As a personal bodyguard to King Hippodin, Philigun became friends with the king's daughters Thorana and Cerki, and was as devastated as anyone else when Cerki betrayed Themsgard. Philigun, Fandia, and Volsana became known as The Warriors Three after they replanted the destroyed Amethyst Tree to save Themsgard from an invasion by the Olympians.
After Thorana, also known as Thunder Woman, was banished, and several horrors escaped Themsgard's most secure prison, Sila, Balippe, and The Warriors Three (with Philigun taking on the mortal alias of “Philip Newley”) traveled to the mortal world to find Thorana and help her defeat the monsters so that Thorana's banishment could be lifted.
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/speed/stamina/durability/reflexes/agility; skilled combatant; use of a mace; skilled with Amazardian medicine.

Balippe:
Amalgamation Of: Balder + Menalippe
Real Name: Balippe II
Alias: Barry Elcaro Jr.
Biography: Balippe, Thorana's cousin, was named for his deceased father Balippe, who was the elder brother of Hippodin, King of Themsgard, and Vilope, King of Norn-Mighdall. After his father sacrificed his life to save his family from the maniacal Fire Angel, Balippe lived with his uncle Vilope in Norn-Mighdall. One of a handful of Amazardians born with the power of precognition, the ability to see into the future, Balippe was trained by the oracles of Norn-Mighdall to control his abilities (he also received classical teachings in combat and swordsmanship). The oracles taught him never to get invested in his vision, because they can never be changed no matter how he intervenes to make it otherwise null. Balippe never fully grasped this until he saw a future brimming with wanton destruction forged by the Torment Armor, a weapon of war commissioned by his uncle, all because of him. He left Norn-Mighdall to prevent this, or so he thought he could do...
Karnemis, the Queen of Norn-Mighdall after Vilope's passing, fell in love with Balippe when they met again at his funeral. When the Norn Stones were stolen, the demons that serve the horrid Fire Angel began to siege the city. Thunder Woman, Balippe, and other Themsgardian warriors traveled to Norn-Mighdall to repel the demons and find the Norn Stones. Balippe stayed behind to protect Karnemis while Thorana and the others infiltrated the demons' hold to retrieve the stones; Karnemis confessed her love for Balippe, but Thunder Woman returned with the Norn Stones. She and her party had learned that Karnemis gave the demons the Norn Stones to instigate the war between her kingdom and the demons, but they didn't know why. She confessed that she wanted Balippe for herself and a war against Norn-Mighdall would give him reason to stay and protect her. She then ordered her guards to attack the Themsgardian heroes, blaming the for the Norn Stones' theft. War had been declared between Themsgard and Norn-Mighdall, and if Balippe didn't agree to become Karnemis' husband, then Themsgard will feel the wrath of The Torment Armor! A dissident of Norn-Mighdall was appalled by Queen Karnemis invading Themsgard because she was spurned by Balippe, so he was able to convince the warrior controlling the Torment Armor to turn against the queen and try to kill her. Thunder Woman was able to defeat the Torment Armor before it could kill Karnemis by having it accidentally attack the crystal containing the body of the warrior controlling the armor. With the armor out of commission, the war between Themsgard and Norn-Mighdall ended. Karnemis realized her folly and so did Balippe, so he resumed his teachings under the oracles to better control his emotions.

Volera:
Amalgamation Of: Volla + Alera
Biography: Volera is the head of Norn-Mighdallian oracles who trained Thorana's cousin Balippe how to master his precognitive powers. At the end of her long life, which began at the genesis of the Amazardians themselves, Volera went mad when she saw a future vision of the Amazardians' genocide at the hands of the merciless Cerki and committed suicide. Cerki had succeeded in annihilating Norn-Mighdall with her army of minions, and set her sights on Themsgard. Cerki killed Thorana in battle and Themsgard was blasted from the seas. Cerki had gained her vengeance upon those who shunned her, and was about to finish a ritual that would remake the Amazardians and Themsgard in her image, but Zeus, King of the Olympians, intervened to prevent the ritual and slay the final Amazardian; the spell backfired and Themsgard was recreated as a series of floating islands in the skies above Atlanta, Georgia.
After the news of Themsgard's re-appearance reached the ears of the Justice Avengers, who had just finished Thorana's funeral, Thorana herself, barely clothed and clutching onto the Enchanted Flail for dear life, burst through the doors of their HQ. After recovering, Thorana sought to travel the Earth and find her family, friends, and other lost Amazardians and bring them back to the new Themsgard (she had yet to regain her full strength and she needed one of the JA's ships to fly, one that ended up with a shorted-out cloaking device that placed the vehicle in "invisible" mode permanently).
Powers: Superhuman intelligence; precognition; mastery of Amazardian magicks.

Falio:
Amalgamation Of: Falki + Io
Biography: Falio is the daughter of Themsgard's finest metalsmiths, one whom forged the weapons of war and tools of peacekeeping that have seen their use in this world and the next, from the Amethyst Tree to King Hippodin's skyship, to even the Enchanted Flail itself. Falio's father forged the Enchanted Flail from Uru, a magic mineral found in the clay of the seabed off the Themsgardian coast, bound with the metal the cosmically-attuned golden armor worn by King Borzaz, channeling the awe-inspiring magicks of the creators of the Amazardians; the chain is pure magic gold from the armor of Borzaz and the leather that covers the Uru handle is from flesh stolen from Echidna, the demoness who births the gorgons, minotaurs, harpies, and other monsters that serve the Olympians.
Falio was trained to be a very serviceable metalsmith by her late father and has served Thunder Woman in repairing the Flail and armor over the years, and rumor has it that Falio has a crush on Thorana.
Powers: Immortal; above-human strength and other physical abilities, though nowhere near the level of Thorana or other trained warriors; skilled iron worker and artist.

Beunylo:
Amalgamation Of: Brunnhilde (The Valkyrie) + Belyllioth
Real Name: Pronounced: “Beau-Nil-Oh”
Biography: The lord of one of the Nine Circles of Hell have taken an interest in the warriors of the Amazardian Nations, and has been harvesting their souls upon their deaths for centuries. The lord demon Hathish (Satannish + Dalkriig-Hath) seeks to create an army of Amazardian phantoms to escape Hell and claim other realms as his dominion. When the Norn-Mighdallian warrior who was controlling the Torment Armor accidentally attacked himself while fighting Thunder Woman, it resulted in psychological trauma that later caused him to lash out and kill Queen Karnemis in a stupor. Thunder Woman followed Karnemis' spirit to Hathish's realm and was horrified to discovered the souls of her fellow Amazardians in such torment. Hathish's right-hand and lover, the demoness general Beunylo, failed to capture Thunder Woman and was sentenced to torture while being replaced by Karnemis, albeit against the warrior queen's will. Thunder Woman rescued Beunylo to take on the demon lord and his imps. After reaching Hathish's lair, they were too late to stop him from raping Karnemis (like every other woman's soul he spied in his territory). Hathish was already a powerhouse, but the centuries of harnessing the souls of Amazardians made him even greater. He killed Thorana, but her soul wouldn't go that quietly; as he absorbed her soul and used her power to wield the Enchanted Flail, the Flail itself attacked Hathish. The spirits of the Amazradian women he had raped were incensed to break their shackles and beat the here out of their “husband”.
In the end, Beunylo freed the souls of all those in Hathish's circle of Hell, allowing them to pass into the Fifth Sphere of Heaven. Thunder Woman Karnemis returned to the mortal plain and Hippodin worked with the angel Numriel (Numinus + Zauriel) to make Beunylo the guide of dead Amazardians into the underworld; the just would enter heaven and the guilty would be her prisoners in her circle of Hell, suffering right alongside Hathish.
Powers: Superhuman speed/stamina/strength/durability/agility/senses; immortality; accelerated healing; death sensing; teleportation; mystical metal claws worn on fingers, where the index ones can extend as long as swords; hellfire projection; rides an immortal bat-winged horse that can cross dimensional barriers.

Nice fleshing-out of these characters! I never expected a lot of these combinations at all. I just have two questions:
1. Originally you also had Cassie Watson here--why'd you take her out?
2. Has Beunylo encountered the Defending Society at all? (Nod to Valkyrie's career with the Defenders.)
