Description

The New Eternals of Apoktan (Deviants of Titan + New Gods of Apokolips):
When the Presence-Above-All (One-Above-All + Presence) created the universe, he sent powerful emissaries called “Eternals” to bring life to many planets. When their mission was finished, they returned to their planet of Urgturn (Saturn + Urgrund), which orbited the Source of All Things, the omnipower at the center of the universe. When the Presence-Above-All exiled himself from the Source and the Eternals, a war broke out between two splintered factions of the Eternals over leadership. One of the factions devised the doomsday device (later called Armangeddon [Doomsday Man + Mageddon]) that split the planet in two and decimated the Old Eternals. The two halves of the planet reformed into two separate planets: the beautiful and untainted New Uranus (Uranus + New Genesis), and the hellish and dark Apoktan. The powerful denizens of these warring worlds, the surviving descendants of the Old Eternals, would call themselves the New Eternals (Eternals & Deviants + New Gods). The Timefather (Kronos + Highfather) rules New Uranus while Apoktan is enslaved by the ultimate evil known as Deathseid!

Top Row, Left to Right:
Heg-San, Menkhan, Deathseid, Kalistaar, Grimven, Stepanos

Deathseid:
Amalgamation of: Thanos + Darkseid
Real Name: Thanxas
Alias: Liege of Apoktan
Biography: Thanxas is the son of Menkhan and Heg-San, the rulers of Apoktan, and the brother of Eroax. The people of Apoktan, back then, were striving to make their world a peaceful and fertile one, like New Uranus, so Thanxas was shunned for his nihilistic world view. He became an acolyte of the Avatar of Death, and sought power to appease her. When Queen Heg-San decreed that his brother Eroax would be the successor to the throne, the brothers found a forbidden area called the Omega Pit; Thanxas critically injured his brother, leaving him for dead, and absorbed the Omega Effect inside the Omega Pit, leading to his rebirth as Deathseid. He killed his father, banished his mother, and claimed rule over the planet; Eroax returned as a superbeing called Infinistar (Starfox + Infinity-Man) to fight Deathseid, but the villain banished him to a pocket dimension. The hellish Apoktan began a war with New Uranus, claiming the lives of many, many people. It ended with a peace treaty between the two planets, and an exchange of newborn sons between the two leaders, Deathseid and Timefather. But then came a sort of cold war between the two worlds, with subterfuge, betrayals, and sabotage that lasted centuries. Deathseid now seeks the entire collection of the six Anti-Life Gems (Infinity Gems + Anti-Life Equation), so that he can annihilate the entire universe and remake it according to his will. He believes the remainder of the Gems are scattered in pieces inside the collective subconscious of the humans of Earth. To the end of dominating Earth and collecting the Gems, he and his minions began meddling in the affairs of Earth's warring superhero and supervillain populations, such as partnering with the criminal organization called the Intermaggia (Maggia + Intergang) and forming the Secret Society of Evil (Masters of Evil + Secret Society of Super Villains) with the Green Skull (Red Skull + Lex Luthor) and Vandal Doom (Doctor Doom + Vandal Savage).
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/stamina/durability/senses/healing/intellect/reflexes; the Omega Effect grants him telepathic and telekinetic powers, energy manipulation, matter manipulation, teleportation, and The Omega Beams, eye-projected lasers that can bend to his will and erase (or un-erase) struck beings from existence. Use of a Uni-Box computer (Uni-Mind + Mother Box).

Stepanos (Great-uncle, brother of Timefather; sided with Deathseid)
Menkhan (Father, son of Timefather)
Ziran (Zuras + Himon; uncle, brother of Menkhan)
Gilgafree (Uncle, youngest son of Timefather, adopted son; sided with Timefather)
Eroax, aka Infinistar (Brother; sided with Timefather)
Wondorion (Wonder Man + Orion; son of Deathseid; adopted by Timefather as son)

Menkhan:
Amalgamation of: Mentor + Yuga Khan
Alias: “Yuga'Lars”: The Anointed One
Biography: Menkhan is a son of Timefather Krozaya and the Liege of Apoktan before he was deposed by his son Thanxas, aka Deathseid. An assembly was held, which voted the young Menkhan to be the ambassador to Apoktan over his brother Ziran. He was captured by the dark leige's forces and imprisoned, but his sister Heg-San freed him. Menkhan and Heg-San led a revolution against the dark leige and they became the rightful rulers of Apoktan as husband and wife. Years later, as they strode to make Apoktan a fruitful world, their wicked son Thanxas found the Omega Pit and became Deathseid. He murdered his father Menkhan with the Omega Beams and then banished his mother and brother before becoming the new dictator of Apoktan.
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/stamina/durability/senses/healing/intellect/reflexes; use of a Uni-Box computer.

Heg-San:
Amalgamation of: Sui-San + Heggra
Biography: Heg-San's elder brother was the past dictator of Apoktan. Menkhan of New Uranus was captured by the dark leige's forces and imprisoned, but his sister freed him. Menkhan and Heg-San led a revolution against the dark leige and they became the rightful rulers of Apoktan as husband and wife. They had two sons, Thanxas and Eroax. Eventually, the marriage between Heg-San and Menkhan dissolved from one of love to one of convenience; while he started paying less and less to her, she began subtly wresting royal duties from him, even taking the liberty of naming Eroax the heir to the throne. When Thanxas became Deathseid, he banished Heg-San from Apoktan to claim the throne, along with trapping his brother in another dimension and wiping his father from existence with his Omega Beams. Years later, Heg-San was caught on Apoktan, and Deathseid watched as his right hand Maxissad tortured her to death.
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/stamina/durability/senses/healing/intellect/reflexes; use of a Uni-Box computer.

Stepanos:
Amalgamation of: Uranos + Steppenwolf
Biography: Stepanos is the younger brother of Timefather Krozaya. He was jealous of his brother's ascention to leadership of New Uranus, so when his great-nephew Thanxas claimed the power of the Omega Effect, Stepanos joined him as an elite of Apoktan. During the war between Apoktan and New Uranus, Stepanos became a high-ranking military officer, reveling in the slaughter of those who opposed Deathseid. He found ancient weapons tech left behind by the recently decimated Kreetonians (Kree + Kryptonians) to bolster Apoktan's military might.
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/stamina/durability/senses/healing/intellect/reflexes; use of a Uni-Box computer; leader of Apoktan's hound calvary; uses an acid/poison-spraying axe.

Kalistaar:
Amalgamation of: Blastaar + Kalibak
Biography: Kalistaar is the first-born son of Deathseid, and he had lived his life always trying to gain his father's approval. To prove his worth, Deathseid sent his adult son to conquer another planet. Kalistaar succeeded, becoming the tyrant of the planet Baluur. His half-brother Wondorion, a champion of New Uranus, helped the people of Baluur overthrow Kalistaar and his platoon of Paraones; this further rubbed salt in Kalistaar's wounds, as he knows that his father had always preferred Wondorion over him, even if Wondorion is Deathseid's enemy. He drifted through space with no Uni-Box, until a portal to Earth was unintentionally created by the Justice Four (Fantastic Four + Justice League Reserves). Kalistaar battled the heroes of Earth until Deathseid rescues him... and has him punished for his failure on Baluur.
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/stamina/durability/senses/healing/reflexes; use of a Uni-Box computer; use of two pain-inducing Alpha and Beta Clubs; eye-projected concussion lasers; jump strength with the power to escape a planet's orbit.

Grimven:
Amalgamation of: Grim Reaper + Grayven
Biography: Grimven is one of the sons of Deathseid; he is the youngest, behind his half-brothers Wondorion and Kalistaar. As part of a peace treaty with New Uranus, infant Wondorion was sent to be raised by Deathseid's enemy Timefather Krozaya, and as an adult, Wondorion came to Earth to recruit its metahuman heroes to help him face Deathseid; Grimven followed his brother to stop him and prove himself to Deathseid. Wondorion was thought to have been killed by the scientists of AHEM (AIM + HIVE) who were experimenting on him, and later resurrected by Black Claw (Black Talon + Black Hand) to serve him, but the Justice Avengers (Avengers + Justice League) freed Wondorion from the latter's control. Meanwhile, AHEM captured Grimven and tortured him for snooping around their base looking for Wondorion, and the New Eternal's left hand was chopped off. The alien villain Submind (Sublime + Mr. Mind) used his telepathic power to free Grimven and gave him an opportunity to find and bring back Wondorion to their homeworld, but only if he (and the team they form) helps Submind destroy Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell + Billy Batson). With technology bought from The Fusioner (Tinkerer + Fusionn), Grimven replaces his left hand with a weaponized scythe, and he joins the Legion of Monsters (Lethal Legion + Monster Society of Evil). Not only has Grimven battled Wondorion and Cpt. Marvel, he also battled Rich Rayner (Rich Rider + Kyle Rayner), a member of the Green Nova Corps (Nova Corps + Green Lantern Corps).
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/stamina/durability/senses/healing/reflexes; use of a Uni-Box computer; cyborg scythe can cut through most substances, drain life energy, and fire deadly bolts of energy.

All rows flanked by:

Paraones:
Amalgamation of: Mindless Ones + Parademons
Biography: The Paraones are magically-created monsters from the Dread Dimension. They are a race that faces enslavement on two fronts: the Leige of Apoktan Deathseid and the Dark Dimension's Sorcerer Supreme, Neromammu (Dormammu + Neron). They are not particularly intelligent, and most appear to have rudimentary or nonexistent communication skills, though a few have developed the ability to talk. Most also lack a concept of self-awareness or self-determination, and are largely unthinking slaves to a stronger will, be it that of Neromammu, Deathseid, or one of Deathseid's elite. They tend to rely on sheer volume to overwhelm opponents, and are rarely encountered on their own. Despite this, they are ruthlessly efficient and experienced soldiers. Only a few have managed to attain free will and escape captivity, such as the Paraone that is a member of the Earth-based villain team, the Secret Syndicate (Sinister Syndicate + Secret Six).
Powers: Super strength/durability/stamina; energy projection from the single eye that makes up its face; wings for flight.

Middle Row, Left to Right:

Maxisaad:
Amalgamation of: Maximus + Desaad
Real Name: Maxisaad Boltagon
Biography: Maxisaad Boltagon is one of the Godlikes (Inhumans + Forever People), a powerful alien race that allied with the New Eternals of New Uranus. Maxisaad is the elder half-brother of Vykin the Bolt (Black Bolt + Vykin the Black), the king of the Godlike's city Forelan (Attilan + Forevertown). When Maxisaad was a young boy, he had two friends, a cat and a bird. One day, the boy came home to find his bird missing. Finding feathers on his cat's bed, Deathseid told the boy that it's his job to avenge the bird by killing the cat. Maxisaad took the cat and buried it alive. On his return, he found the bird back in his cage. In a fit of rage, he killed the bird. Manipulated and corrupted by Deathseid, Maxisaad would later betrayed the secrets of the T-Element (Terrigenesis + X-Element) to him for promises of great power. The Godlikes and the New Uranians managed to destroy the stolen files about the T-Element, but Maxisaad was beyond redemption; Vykin the Bolt became the rightful king of Forelan and Maxisaad became the right hand of Deathseid.
Powers: Immortality; use of a Uni-Box computer; high intellect; mind control; telepathy; illusion casting; master torturer and weapons engineer.

Granny Harkness:
Amalgamation of: Agatha Harkness + Granny Goodness
Real Name: Harkness
Biography: The woman known as Harkness was a “lowlie”, a member of the bottom caste of the New Eternals of Apoktan. She was enlisted into Deathseid's military as a shock trooper. As a female, Harkness also was tasked with breeding with other soldiers to conceive future soldiers for Deathseid's armies; the Seven Furies she now commands are all, biologically, her granddaughters from various breeding partners. Though now looking like a fat old woman, “Granny” Harkness is a dangerous and malicious sociopath, a perfect agent for Deathseid's elite. Her first encounter with the heroes of Earth was when she posed as a human to become the nanny of young Luke Richards (Franklin Richards + Luke O'Brien), son of Mr. Plastic (Mr. Fantastic + Plastic Man) and Dr. Invisible (Invisible Woman + Dr. Light II) of the Justice Four. Luke was born with extremely powerful abilities, and Deathseid took an interest in corrupting him to serve Apoktan; Granny Harkness was found out and battled the J4 with both her magic and the summoning of the Seven Furies (even though they were defeated and retreated back to Apoktan).

Virman Ghaur:
Amalgamation of: Ghaur + Virman Vundabar
Biography: Virman Ghaur is the head of the Cult of Deathseid and the leading general of his military. His first appearance was leading troops against New Uranus, which provided enough of a distraction for him to lead Gilgafree, the Miraculous One (Gilgamesh the Forgotten One + Scott Free aka Mr. Miracle) into a devious trap, but the hero escaped. Virman was captured by New Uranus' forces and condemned to existence as a sentient vapor in the void of space; this lasted until the Silver Pariah (Silver Surfer + Pariah), a herald of Galactiac (Galactus + Brainiac), flew through the vapor and left behind the tiniest fraction of the Power Cosmic, which allowed Deathseid to find and reassemble Virman Ghaur.
Powers: Immortality; superhuman physical features; use of a Uni-Box computer; master military tactician.

Krofrey:
Amalgamation of: Kro + Glorious Godfrey
Aliases: Gordon Hendler, Reverend Paul Good
Biography: Krofrey gained shapeshifting powers at birth through experiments by Deathseid's scientists, but more effective than Krofrey's transformation ability is his overwhelming speaking voice and powers of persuasion. He first came to Earth, in the guise of “Gordon Hendler”, to preach of the wonders of the Anti-Life, which is his master's ultimate goal; those few who would not bend to him were hunted down by those who would, the Just Network (Delta Network + Justifiers). The New Uranian hero Faskari (Makkari + Fastbak) unraveled this plan and Krofrey disappeared. He later resurfaced in the guise of “Reverend Paul Good”.

Phaelam had an affair with a New Uranian woman, and Deathseid punished him by killing the woman and stealing their son; Iluthin was raised in Granny Harkness' orphanage, never knowing Phaelam was his father. Iluthin fell in love with a woman, but the assassin Kanstrom the 13th killed her; Iluthin killed Kanstrom in battle and, because he was manipulated by Deathseid, he accepted the role of the new Kanstrom. Kanstrom would later attack a city on Earth alongside the psychopomp Blackurge (Deathurge + Black Racer), who was simply working for Deathseid only at the beheast of his real, enigmatic master.
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/stamina/durability/senses/healing/intellect/reflexes; use of a Uni-Box computer; excellent combatant, both with weapons and empty-handed, strategist, and hunter; manipulation of kinetic energy.

Phaelam:
Amalgamation of: Phaeder + Dr. Bedlam
Biography: Phaelam's past is unknown, but one thing is certain: he was a Godlike banished from Forelan for his cruel scientific experiments. When Deathseid granted him asylum on Apoktan, it was only so he could be his chief scientist. Phaelam had an affair with a New Uranian woman, and Deathseid punished him by killing the woman and stealing their son, manipulating him into his head assassin Kanstrom. Phaelam was so distraught he worked himself to death, but Deathseid placed his mind in a new robot body to continue his servitude. Phaelam was the one who deformed the New Uranian prisoner of war Piperon (Pip the Troll + Oberon), who is now allies with The Miraculous One. In modern times, Slyme found himself on Earth and began using his telepathic powers to control a number of female superheroes. Super-Soldier (Cpt. America + Superman) and Cybarda (Cybele + Big Barda) intervened and freed the heroines from him. He later appeared and manipulated the members of the X-Patrol (X-Men + Doom Patrol) against each other, but Apoktan's team called the Deep Sword (Sword + Deep Six) intervened and took Slyme back to their planet, since his meddling interfered indirectly with Deathseid's plans for Earth.
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/durability/intellect; use of a Uni-Box computer; telepathy and telekinesis.

Man-Ripper:
Amalgamation of: Mangog + Rip Roar
Biography: Many eons ago, the four-armed juggernaut known as the Man-Ripper was dispatched along with his hated rival Kalistaar, to plunder treasure for their master Deathseid. Man-Ripper came to an ancient Earth where the last Old Eternal Borzaz (Bor + Arzaz), and his son Hippodin (Odin + Hippolyta), ruled over the empire known as Themsgard (Asgard + Themyscira). Man-Ripper proved too much for the Amazardians to handle, so Borzaz banished him to the deepest cavern in the Earth, which had its only passage blocked by the Enchantistone. With his Uni-Box sabotaged by Kalistaar and Maxisaad, Man-Ripper was unable to escape.
In modern times, the monstrous Delik (Ulik + Decay), an enemy of Borzaz's granddaughter Thorana aka Thunder Woman (Thor + Wonder Woman), found himself lost in the same caves and he found the Enchantistone, inscribed with words saying that the being imprisoned inside wasn't to be freed by order of the Themsgardian Royal Family; figuring that whomever's inside could be a potential ally, Delik tried to destroy the Enchantistone. The young hero team Runaway Justice (Runaways + Young Justice), who were also stuck in the cavern, recognized Delik as a villain and tried to stop him. The Enchantistone was destroyed in the battle and the Man-Ripper was freed; he ignored Delik as he blasted his way to the surface. A portal then opened and vacuumed up the rocky prison, taking Man-Ripper back to Apoktan...
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/stamina/durability/senses/healing/reflexes; use of a Uni-Box computer; four arms; claws and fangs; fire and ice blasts from hands.

Mantinax:
Amalgamation of: Tutinax + Mantis
Biography: The “bugs” are an offshoot of the New Eternals, found in underground colonies beneath the surface of both New Uranus and Apoktan. While the Apoktanian bug known as Hinter (Forager + Karkas) sided with the New Uranians, the New Uranian bug called Mantinax sided with the Apoktanians. Spoken to be as powerful as Deathseid himself, Mantinax tried to conquer Earth a millenium ago, but the young king Hippodin defeated the egotistical Mantinax and banished him to a tear in space-time; as this was the second time an Earthling managed to best his forces, Deathseid became more interested in Earth. Mantinax reappeared in modern times and used his energy vampirism to best many heroes. The Godlikes intervened and summoned Infinistar, who defeated Mantinax.
Powers: Immortality; superhuman strength/stamina/durability/senses/healing/reflexes; use of a Uni-Box computer; energy absorption and manipulation; can cause horrifying illusions.

He sends the Primestone to Earth and it lands in a thermo-nuclear power plant; the Primestone morphs into a fiery, radioactive monster. Driven to destroy Deathseid, Primestone rampages across the city to blindly find a means to travel to Apoktan. A multitude of heroes show up to defeat him, and Torchstorm (Human Torch + Firestorm) of the Justice Four claims victory by absorbing all of his nuclear energy. With the Primestone left behind, the New Uranians fill in the heroes on what it does. They deposit it in an Apoktanian Fire Pit, which has the power of 10 nuclear power plants; Primestone lays waste to Apoktan until he is inches away from Deathseid, who calmly activates the failsafe and kills Primestone.
Powers: Superhuman strength/stamina/durability/senses/healing/reflexes; can grow to titanic sizes; absorption, manipulation, and generation of fiery radioactive energy.

Dozen:
Amalgamation of: Zodiak + Libra
Real Name: Norman Ballantine
Biography: This story begins with the 12 demons known as the Dykkors, who were permanently banished to another plain of existence by one of the first Sorcerers Supreme, Yabu, the One of Order (Yan the Ancient One + Nabu of the Lord of Order). The Dykkors concentrated all of their remaining energy into a book, hoping a human would find and read it.
Norman Ballantine was abused by his widower father until he tripped and fell off a roof to his death. Growing up into a maladjusted adult, the only place he could find steady work was a book store. He found the Dykkors' spell book and became a vessel for their power. With a dozen eyes growing from his head, Norman became the villain Dozen, serving the Dykkors' will and  using their power to dish out his delusional brand of justice. Deathseid purged the Dykkors from Dozen's body, and turned him to the ways of Anti-Life; seeing the Anti-Life as the only way to truly bring peace and equality to reality, Dozen pledges his life to Deathseid. He's now attempting to reunite the members of Deathseid's earthly supervillain team, The Secret Society of Evil!

Real Name: Kara Barnes
Alias: Soldiergirl (Bucky + Supergirl)
Biography: Kara Barnes is Soldiergirl, the sidekick and younger cousin of Super-Soldier. Before she became Soldiergirl, she was trained by Thunder Woman and other members of the Justice Avengers. Deathseid had a new plan to defeat the heroes of Earth and it involves Kara. He sent decrepid, uncountable legion of clones of Doompocalypse (Apocalypse + Doomsday) to Themsgard, attacking the populace and Kara. Super-Soldier and Iron Bat (Iron Man + Batman) arrived to help Thunder Woman destroy the clones, but Kara ended up missing in all the havoc. On the planet Apoktan, Kara, fatally injured (with a shredded left arm), was experimented on and brainwashed by Deathseid's scientists. A mechanical, prosthetic sheath was fitted over her damaged arm and outfitted with a miniature yellow sunlight generator to enhance her powers; she became The Death Soldier. The Justice Avengers attacked the forces of Apoktan but Death Soldier managed to neutralize the team, one by one, until Super-Soldier, Iron Bat, and Thunder Woman remained. Super-Soldier managed to free Kara from the brainwashing and they all escaped Deathseid's evil empire...
Powers: Absorption of yellow solar energy and conversion of it into her powers. Superhuman strength/speed/stamina/agility/reflexes/senses/aim (made greater than Super-Soldier's thanks to the energy generator in her mechanical arm). Laser vision. X-Ray vision. Freezing breath.
