Description

The second iteration of the Secret Society of Evil (Masters of Evil + Secret Society of Super Villains). First, they formed a team of younger villains, the Young Titans (Young Masters + Terror Titans), to oppose the heroic Teen Avengers (Young Avengers + Teen Titans), but they failed. Then they had Dr. Traknus reconstitute Deicide to destroy the Justice Avengers, though that failed as well. This team broke up after they failed, thanks to a saboteur/double-agent in their ranks, to take control of the mad cyborg Metoltron (Ultron + Metallo), who nearly slaughtered them.
The original leaders of the SSoE, the Green Skull (Red Skull + Lex Luthor) and Vandal Doom (Dr. Doom + Vandal Savage), will return with a new Society for the events of the Crisis Reign (Dark Reign + Final Crisis).

Scarlet Cape:
Amalgamation of: Crimson Cowl + Red Hood
Real Name: Justine Todd (Justine Hammer + Jason Todd)
Biography: Justine Todd lost her parents to the criminal enforcer Crusher Croc (Crusher + Killer Croc), and she lived on the streets alone. She was adopted by the industrialist Oswald Hammer (Justin Hammer + Oswald “Penguin” Cobblepott), who wanted to groom the girl to be his heir, but Justine rebelled against him when he learned that he had hired Crusher Croc to do some of his dirty work. Unable to be associated with her parents’ murderer in such a way, she turned to the heroic Iron Bat (Iron Man + Batman) to help aide each other in taking down the criminals. Justine became the second person to take on the mantle of Red Guard (Guardsman + Robin), but she proved herself to be a rebellious hothead. When the time finally came to bring down Oswald Hammer, Crusher Croc overpowered Red Guard and knocked her helmet off. When Oswald realized who Red Guard really was, he ordered Croc to stand down. Justine gained the upper-hand because of this and nearly killed Crusher Croc, but she was stopped by Iron Bat. It was clear that she joined him to gain the means to avenge her biological parents’ murders, so Iron Bat had her dismissed. Feeling betrayed, Justine took off in the Red Guard armor. She learned that Oswald was kidnapped by Crusher Croc for reneging on their contract, and she followed a trail of Croc’s biological makeup to an abandoned warehouse. When she got there, he suit was remotely disabled and she was knocked out by the Laugh Monger (Iron Monger + Joker), who faked her adoptive father’s kidnapping. Iron Bat was too late to stop Laugh Monger, who blew up the warehouse to kill Justine, all as a part of a plan to demoralize the hero. When the villainous Super-Soldier of Prime X (Mutant X Cpt. America + Superman Prime) attempted to rewrite the Multiverse, he caused Justine Todd to return to life and escape her grave. Swearing vengeance on Iron Bat and the Laugh Monger, she took on the supervillain identity of The Scarlet Cape. The Scarlet Cape then organized a second version of the Secret Society of Evil.

Tyron lost his right hand and was stricken with radiation poisoning in a resulting accident and Green Skull encased him in a vibranium battlesuit, turning him into a superpowered criminal called Acoustikon. Acoustikon served the Green Skull before joining the Fearful Six (Frightful 4 + Fearsome 5), and later the SSoE.

She soon enough earned a PhD in ecology, and invented a device that allowed her to communicate with plant life. Prof. Woodrue tried to steal the invention for himself, but an electrical storm caused it to explode, washing Pamela in strange energies. The injured woman escaped into the woods and collapsed, fusing with the surrounding vegetation. She discovered she could control plant life, and Pamela dedicated her life to protecting the natural world… by destroying human society. She started calling herself Plantwoman, and became a major enemy of the hero Iron Bat, whose technological aptitude and use of powered armor makes him a foil for Pamela and her obsession with nature. She teamed up with several of Iron Bat’s other enemies, and she became friends with Harleen Powers, the Harlequin (Jester + Harley Quinn). Plantwoman also served in the all-villain government strike team Thunder Squad (Thunderbolts + Suicide Squad), where she changed her name to Black Ivy, but soon escaped their custody. Dade reveled in the bloodshed and became his squadron's most talented soldier. On a mission in the Middle East, a lone Lt. General Wilson held hostage an enemy mercenary, a blind ninja woman codenamed Snowblind (Blind Al + Wintergreen); though she was captive, Snowblind taught Wilson ancient and powerful techniques in stealth, espionage, and assassination in exchange for her freedom. After returning from duty, Dade married his former superior officer Neena Kane (Domino + Adeline Kane) and they started a family. A terrorist party sought revenge on Wilson, so they kidnapped his family and held them hostage; Wilson saved Neena and their daughter Tulana, but it was too late for the sons Dade Jr. and Aaron. Blaming her husband for their sons' deaths, Neena ran away with Tulana. With nothing left in his life, Dade agreed to becoming a test subject for Project: Weapon C (Weapon X + Project: Cadmus), a program dedicated to creating new super soldiers for the American government. Dade survived the suicidally-dangerous procedure, albeit with a missing left eye and horrendous facial scarring, and was given enhanced stamina, reflexes, and thought-processing. Unfortunately, the scientists only used him to see if the procedure would work, and planned to kill him because he's too mentally unbalanced to be controlled. When Dade heard this, he broke out and slew the guards and scientists during his escape. Now wandering the world, Dade Wilson is the mercenary villain “Deathpool”. Deathpool became an enemy of the Teen Avengers when he learned that his former hostage-teacher Snowblind failed to complete a contract to destroy them, and he seeks to complete it. Hired by the Scarlet Cape, Deathpool helped form the Young Titans, and was sent to assassinate them when they failed to kill the Teen Avengers.

This dark Thunder Woman, named Deicide, destroyed Themsgard (Asgard + Themyscira) and slaughtered the Amazardians, but the Olympians lost control of her when her mission was finished. They were nearly killed in her rampage and Zeus banished her to The Bleed, the cosmic void between the universes of the multiverse. Deicide then arrived in the mainstream universe, where the Amazardians, including Thunder Woman herself, were all still alive. Deicide resumed her mission once more, but was defeated and destroyed by Thorana after a brutal and costly battle. The Secret Society of Evil rebuilt Deicide's body with cybernetic implants, further increasing her mystic powers. Deicide and Thunder Woman proved too equally matched in battle, so the villainess used her powers of illusion to trick Cassie Watson (Mary-Jane Watson + Cassie Sandsmark), the second Thunder Girl (Thor Girl + Wonder Girl), to attack her mentor Thorana (being made to think that Thorana was Deicide). I think Plantwoman sounds better than Black Ivy. Also, in some continuities, the Metal Men could combine to form a giant robot called Alloy. (Kingdom Come, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) If the Metal Marauders could fuse like that, what would their combined form be called?
