New Amalgam: Tarot Card Gang

Tarot Card Gang (Crazy Gang + Royal Flush Gang):
Mainly enemies with Britain’s Captain Lionheart (Captain Britain + Lionheart), the Tarot Card Gang’s leader, Mad Jim Fortune, is so powerful that it took the entirety of the hero team Global Flight (Alpha Flight + Global Guardians) to defeat him and undo the cosmic damage he wrought.

Mad Jim Fortune:
Amalgamation of: Mad Jim Jaspers + Amos Fortune
Real Name: James Fortune
Aliases: The Crooked Card, Hierophant
Biography: In his youth, James Fortune was a small-time gang member on the streets of London, England, until he discovered his metamutant power (mutant + metahuman) to alter probability. He used his powers over luck to gamble his way into riches. He descended into megalomania, and tricked his way into a member of the House of Parliament to impose anti-superhuman legislation (hiding his own powers in the meanwhile). To prevent Captain Lionheart and his wife Megiva (Meggan + Godiva) from finding out the truth, Jim gathered his old gang members and used his evolved powers to grant them powers of their own, becoming the Tarot Card Gang! The TCG went on a rampage through the United Kingdom, and the destruction the fights between them and the European Global Flight caused cemented the anti-superhuman views that Jim established. Unfortunately, using his powers to create the TCG took its toll, and he went insane, tearing apart reality piece by piece. Global Flight, fearing universal contamination by this new mass of un-reality, used their combined efforts to destroy Mad Jim Fortune. The Tarot Cards turned back into their old selves after Mad Jim’s quantum treachery was undone. Some time later, Mad Jim returned to participate in a deadly game of chance with Russian Roulette (The Russian + Roulette), pitting the Justice Avengers (Avengers + Justice League) against the Punishunter (Punisher + Manhunter); it wasn’t corroborated that this Mad Jim returned from the grave or is a clone, or whether he still retained his powers, as the Punishunter raided RR’s casino in the end and shot Mad Jim in the face.
Powers: Large-Scale Probability Manipulation.

Empress:
Amalgamation of: Red Queen + Queen
Real Name: “Red” Taylor
Powers: Sonic screams and wields a scepter that casts illusions.

Magician:
Amalgamation of: Tweedledope + King
Real Name: Joe Tweed
Biography: As the Magician of the Tarot Card Gang, Joe Tweed invented a flying robot called “Wideets” (Widget + Skeets), to serve the TCG, but the gang was destroyed before it could be activated, and it wasn’t found again until 3099 and activated by Booster Lad (Iron Lad + Booster Gold).
Powers: An idiot savant, Magician is a brilliant inventor but has no practical intelligence. His ape-like battlesuit enhances his strength and fighting ability.

Fool:
Amalgamation of: Knave + Jack
Real Name: Jack Navy
Powers: Super strength/durability, wields an energy sword, and shoots lasers from his left eye.

Hermit:
Amalgamation of: Jester + Ten
Real Name: “Coco” Wayland
Powers: A powerful martial artist with enhanced reflexes and gauntlets that shoot lasers and exploding cards.

Death:
Amalgamation of: Executioner + Ace
Biography: A the climax of the battle between the Tarot Card Gang and Global Flight, Mad Jim Fortune created the android Death to finish off Global Flight. It was destroyed by Star Guardian (Red Guardian + Red Star), and its pieces disappeared when Mad Jim was killed.
Powers: Android with super strength/stamina/durability. Wields a battle-axe.
