Other heroes of the world of New Amalgam Comics (Marvel Comics + DC Comics).
Top Row, L-R:
Jana Switzler, Platypus Chuck, Bongevil
Amalgamation Of: Howard the Duck + Detective Chimp
Real Name: Howard B. Charles
Biography: Howard B. Charles is a playtpus with the intelligence of a human, as he was born in a universe of the New Amalgam Multiverse where highly intelligent animals replace humans, and there are even super-powered animal versions of heroes and villains we know, like the members of the Justice Avengers (Avengers + Justice League). Howard lived a normal (by their standards) life as a private investigator, until a demon called Thog of Fire (Thog the Overmaster + Jack of Fire), the brother of Marduk Nebrios (Marduk Kurios + Nebiros) and thus the uncle of the hero Blue Satan (Son of Satan + Blue Devil), tried to conquer our Earth, but landed on the animal-populated one instead. He created a portal to leave and go to the Earth he wanted, but the portal's vacuum was powerful enough to draw Howard, who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, to our Earth. Lost in Australia, Howard Charles the Platypus observed that animals here are not as smart as he and that strange creatures called humans were dominant. Howard pretended to be as dumb as a normal platypus when he encountered a human, who adopted him as a pet. He displayed a certain level of intelligence, which his owner took as a talent for a normal platypus, so they joined a traveling carnival as a stage show: “Chuck the Detective Platypus”. When his human owner was murdered, Howard met Jana Switzler, a psychiatrist from Cleveland, Ohio, who discovered his true intelligence, and together they covertly helped the police solve the crime. People eventually discovered Howard and what he was, and were fearful of him, but Sleet Squad, the extraterrestrial research division of Task Force S (SHIELD + Task Force X) helped Howard with this. Howard, also called Platypus Chuck, now plies his skills as an investigator for hire, living with his girlfriend Jana Switzler.
Powers: Highly intelligent investigator and detective; multilingualism; average human physical ability; martial arts skill; dabbles in the occult.
Amalgamation Of: Beverly Switzler + Jana Bodie
Biography: Dr. Jana Switzler was a psychiatry student nearing graduation when she met Howard Charles, aka Chuck, a platypus with the intellect of a human. A normal person would have taken a mental crap after experiencing this, but Jana understood that “nothing's impossible anymore” with the advent of superheroes. Jana helped Chuck solve the murder of the human who had adopted him after ending up stuck on our Earth, and Chuck was inspired to ply his skills as a crime-solver for a living. Jana and Chuck moved in together, and Jana got her psychiatry degree. She later helped another crime-solver, the Scarlet Magician (Scarlet Witch + Zatanna), conquer her phobia of puppets.
Powers: Skilled psychiatrist.
Amalgamation Of: Doctor Bong + Karnevil
Real Name: Jeremy Verde
Biography: The origins of Jeremy Verde, aka Bongevil, are shrouded in mystery, but one version he tells that sticks out was that he was a smart, albeit extremely dark, young man who was bullied into committing suicide, and that he was too scary for the demons of Hell to control so he escaped. Any way you split it, the gold-like metals Bongevil used to make his weapon are mystical in nature, and allow him to manipulate sound waves to deadly effects. He was content to simply sew havoc to his heart's content, but he fell deeply in lust with psychiatrist Jana Switzler and stalked her. He tried to kill her animal-man boyfriend, Platypus Chuck, but he was defeated and Jana was saved. The heroes known as the Sons of Shadow (Midnight Sons + Shadowpact/Sentinels of Magic) later inducted Platypus Chuck into their ranks, and then their vampiric foe Lilya (Lilith + Tanya) assembled several villains to eliminate them, including Chuck's nemesis Bongevil. He was killed in this final battle, but he was reincarnated as five super-powered infants; they had accelerated aging, and were found and manipulated by a Neo-Nazi supervillain team.
Powers: Uses a helm and mace-like gauntlet made of magic metals, which allow him to manipulate sound; skilled athlete and fighter; skilled in magicks.
*I know Bongevil's a villain, not a hero, but get over it.
Bottom Row, L-R:
Amalgamation Of: Forbush Man + 'Mazing Man
Real Name: Irving Hunch
Biography: Irving Hunch was a reclusive, impish, and not-all-there man who was living with his elderly aunt. He originally was a gopher for a comic book publication, until he won the lottery; inspired by the comics he read that his employers produced, he decided to become a superhero. He took the name “Forzing Man” from Forzing, an alien that was the company's most famous and powerful hero. Irving is a little out of his mind, so he designed a haphazardly cobbled-together costume, along with similarly strange tools and a lair beneath his aunt's house. Forbush Man is considered a joke and a nuisance to others in the superhero community, though they admit that the lenses of his mask, which allow for induction of fearsome hallucinations, are oddly effective...
Powers: Millions of dollars; a secret lair; tools and weapons hidden in costume; a vehicle; mask lenses that generate illusions.
Amalgamation Of: Slapstick + Heckler
Real Name: Stuart Harmon
Biography: Stu Harmon found himself morphed into a blob of “electro-matter” after being sucked into an other-dimensional portal that was disguised as a fun-house mirror. A scientist from that world helped Stu reform his new electro-matter form into his form as a normal human, but he then learned how to stretch and change into other shapes. After freeing this new world from tyranny, he returns to Earth with his new powers, and becomes the off-the-wall hero called Maniacal. As Stu, he runs a diner in his home town that allows him to eavesdrop on patrons' criminal activities. As Maniacal, he once fought evil alongside the Outer-Warriors (New Warriors + Outsiders).
Powers: Above-human strength/stamina/durability; elasticity and shape-shifting; can open his chest cavity to reveal a pocket dimension that allows him to store an infinite number of tools and weapons he needs; super-annoying to his enemies, which causes them to lose focus and make mistakes.

That's when a giant T-Rex was found on main street, and all fingers were pointed towards him. Scared out of his wits by humans, the dinosaur eluded police and military and escaped into the roomier parts of the sewers. A young boy named Stanley Moon found the dinosaur and treated him with kindness, nursing him back to health, and named him “Spot”. The police eventually discovered Spot, so he and Stanley tried made their escape but were captured; a less-than-patient cop knocked poor Stanley out with a baton, which caused Spot to go into a rage and crush cop cars and swat officers with his tail to rescue the boy. In their new hiding area, Stanley's grandfather, Stanley Moon Sr. found them and offered to help them escape the city for greener pastures, but it was revealed that HE was the killer responsible for the disappearances; Senior was an occultist who used his victims in a ritual sacrifice to transport the “first kind soul”, Spot, to our time to corrupt him and become all-powerful. In defense of young Stanley, Spot attacked Senior's magically-created minions and won. Then Senior himself was knocked out by local hero Hwk Arrow (Hawkeye + Green Arrow). Stan Moon Sr. was proven the culprit of the killings, and Hawk Arrow had his connections in the Justice Avengers arrange a transport that relocated Spot to Skarwali (Savage Land + Skartaris), a hidden world where Spot can be safe. An ape terrorist attempted to conquer the city, but Gibovar killed him in combat. Years later, Gibovar was the diplomatically-elected leader of Gorilla City when he was overthrown by a human mutated into a powerful ape-like beast; this villain took the name Red Grodd (Red Ghost + Gorilla Grodd), after the terrorist Gibovar defeated. Gibovar escaped his prison, made his way to America, and convinced the superhuman hero Silverflash (Quicksilver + Flash) to help him defeat the villain. After the battle, Red Grodd awoke from a coma with an obsession with killing Silverflash, but soon returned to Gorilla City with a psychometric impulse bomb. The bomb wiped the ape citizens memories and they scattered as normal apes, leaving Gorilla City's tech in the hands of Red Grodd. Gibovar was left believing he was a metamutant (mutant + metahuman) with ape-like features; he was manipulated by a group of supervillains to use as a weapon against the hero Spider Boy (Spider-Man + Superboy), until the hero's punch 'rebooted' his memories. Spider Boy and Silverflash helped Gibovar liberate Gorilla City from Red Grodd, and are now working on how to restore the citizens' minds.
