“Steve Gets Crafty!”

Basic Description: Steve has much more physical and facial animation than I had originally wrote for him for Brawl (I deleted that original dev; sorry). Though he is still cubic in shape, his limbs and body bends more circularly. He rides a pig with a saddle, with a “carrot on a stick” in one hand (to lead said pig) and an Iron Sword in the other.

Intro Animation: Steve lands on a pig, already wearing a saddle, in the battlefield and starts riding it.

Idle Animation: Steve swings the sword around his hand while looking shifty. The pig gets a glare on its face.

Special Attributes: Since it's a fishing pole with a carrot on it, Steve uses it to grab enemies from afar, like Link's hookshot and Samus' grapple beam. He also can use it in midair to attack and grab ledges in midair from a distance.

Notable Palette Swaps: Steve's skin can change to that of Mario, Yoshi, Pikachu, Samus, Sonic, and Kirby.

Walk Animation: Steve holds out the carrot on a stick and the pig follows.

Run Animation: Steve holds out the carrot on a stick further and the pig runs after it.

Shield Animation: Steve crosses the sword and pole over his chest and the pig uses its front hooves to cover its eyes.

Dodge Animation: Steve stands on one foot to lean to one side and the pig leans another direction.

Dodge Roll Animation: Steve clings tightly to the pig and the pig crawls in that direction.

Midair Dodge Animation: Steve stands on top of the pig on one foot, with a flourish, and the pig splays its legs.

Stun Animation: The pig is still sober, but Steve is dizzy, with a sickened look on his face and swinging his head around.

Edge Grab: Steve sticks his sword into the side of the ledge and grips tightly to the pig with his legs.

Number of Jumps: Two jumps. The pig flaps his legs rapidly for the second jump.

Wall Jumps/Clings? Neither.

Can Crawl? Yes. When Steve ducks, he gets low to the pig while the pig gets on its belly. The pig crawls.

Weight: 24 Units

Sounds: Steve grunts when he attacks or gets hit. So does the pig.

Basic Attacks:
A, A, A: Three sword swings.
Rapid A: Rapid switching between sword swings and stabs.
Side+A: Large overhead sword swing.
Down+A: Quickly gets low to poke with a Torch in one hand, in front, and a Redstone Torch in another, behind. The Torch burns enemies and the Redstone Torch shocks them.
Up+A: Extends a Piston, with a Redstone Torch, that faces upwards.
Dash+A: The pig spins on his belly while Steve holds out two Blaze Rods. The Blaze Rods do burning damage.
Air+A: Spins in the air with his sword.
Air Forward+A: Flings a Bucket of Lava forward, doing burning damage.
Air Back+A: Stands up on pig to stick butt out, with a Boat or a Minecart forming around said buttocks.
Air Up+A: Slashes upwards with an Iron Hoe.
Air Down+A: The pig stomps rapidly.
Edge Attack: Hits with the fishing pole.
Wakeup Attack (from back): Downward slash of sword while pig kicks backwards.
Wakeup Attack (from stomach): Spinning sword slash.

Smash Moves:
Sides: Heavy swing of Iron Axe.
Up: Stabs upward with Iron Shovel.
Down: Swings downward with Iron Pickaxe, causing a seismic shock.

Grabs:
Neutral: Holds enemy in hand that uses fishing pole.
Attack: Sword stab.
Forwards: Dropkick after jump off of pig.
Down: Throws to ground and pig belly flops on enemy.
Back: Suplex.
Up: Lift up to upwards sword slash.

Special Attacks:
Neutral: “Block Place”- Hold B to conjure a block, press in any direction to choose a block, and release B to place. You'll auto-place if you hold for too long. The blocks, which disappear after a while, are “Gravel” (falls to do damage if placed in midair), “Sapling” (grows instantly into a Tree, doing damage and launching, if stepped on), “Netherrack” (turns to fire that lasts a while), and “Soulsand” (Slows character movement).
Side: “Bow & Arrow”- Hold to charge up a ranged shot.
Up: “Ender Pearl”- Throw an Ender Pearl in an aimable arc. Where it hits you teleport to and take damage (can edge grab). Hit an enemy to teleport to them and insta-attack (you still take damage).
Down: “Harming Splash Potion”- Like Link's Bombs, Steve pulls out a Splash Potion that he can throw at any time. The potion, when it breaks, deals damage in a small radius, so be sure not to throw it at someone close to you (or straight down).

Custom Special Attacks:
Neutral 1: “Careful Block Place”- Auto-place takes longer to activate. Blocks are “Sand” (does less damage when falling than Gravel), “Wheat” (grows instantly, doing minimal poking damage, if stepped on), “Flint & Steel” (fire doesn't last as long as Netherrack), and “Ice” (Enemy characters slip).
Side 1: “Flame Bow & Arrow”- Same, but takes longer to charge and is stronger and burning.
Up 1: “Shielded Ender Pearl”- Take no damage from teleporting, but shorter arc.
Down 1: “Healing Splash Potion”- This potion restores health in a small radius. Use it on yourself or teammates, but be aware it also heals opponents.

Neutral 2: “Strong Block Place”- Auto-place takes shorter to activate. Blocks are “Anvil” (does more damage when falling than Gravel), “Cactus” (grows instantly, doing maximum rapid poking damage, if stepped on), “Lava” (fire lasts longer than Netherrack), and “TNT” (explodes when stepped on).
Side 2: “Unpatched Bow & Arrow”- Hold down to launch up to five arrows in a row. They aren't as powerful as regular arrows at max.
Up 2: “Eye of Ender”- Eye instantly travels to nearest edge or enemy, but take more damage from the warp. Limited homing range, so you warp to where it stops.
Down 2: “Strength Splash Potion”- When caught in the radius of this potion, all affected characters gain an attack strength boost for a limited time.

Final Smash:
"Creative Mode": A flash of light transforms Steve! In creative mode, Steve instantly gains a Diamond Sword, Creeper Eggs, a full set of diamond armor, and a horse instead of a pig. He is invincible, faster, stronger, and can fly! Pressing normal attack unleashes a flurry of diamond blade swipes, and the special attack summons a Creeper. Creepers can be killed by other players, but explode if they are close enough to a player for too long, or if exposed to another explosion or fire; every 1 in 100 Creepers summoned is a Charged Creeper, which is instant death to all players onscreen when it explodes.

Taunts:
Up: Steve pulls out a Diamond and points at it with a smug expression on his face.
Side: Steve pets the pig.
Down: Steve dances a little with his arms.

Win Poses:
1: With much swag, Steve leans up against the pig, which is also standing on its hind legs.
2: Steve (telepathically) holds three diamonds and two sticks in a t-formation, then he squishes them together, and reveals a Diamond Pickaxe.
3: Steve drinks a potion and makes a cool pose, covered in potion effect particles.

Equipment: Shares Sword (attack), has Armor (defense; Leather- Iron- Diamond) and Swiftness Potion (speed; Short- Medium- Long)

Icon: Creeper Face.

Kirby Hat: Square Kirby with brown hair.

Assist Trophy: “Spider Jockey”- a Skeleton archer riding a giant Spider. They roam the arena and attack with lunges, arrow shots, and they lay down spider webs that disappear after touching an enemy, causing temporary slowness.

Boxing Ring Alias: "The Cubic Commando?"

Palutena's Guidance:
Pit: “Hey, who in the world is this?”
Viridi: “I've seen this guy and his world before.”
Pit: “You did? Why is he a bunch of cubes?”
Viridi: “Everything in his world goes against the natural order. Square people, square animals, square plants, even clumps of dirt and handfuls of water are perfectly square!”
Pit: “I don't know, I think you'd fit in perfectly.”
Viridi: “I'LL stick with snark, YOU stick with having Hades fawn over you insultingly.”

Stage: Minecraftia: Steve's stage is a series of floating islands that are randomized every time you play this arena. Chests sometimes appear, and if you smash one open you can find an item inside. There are also Nether Portals players can use to quickly teleport around the stage. In the background, you can see an overview of the surface of a basic Minecraft world, including an ocean coast, forests, a desert, a jungle, and a village. Occasionally, an End Portal opens in the background opens and summons the Boss Hazard of this arena: The Ender Dragon. The Dragon attacks with swoops, claw slashes, and purple poison breath; there are also Endermen accompanying the Dragon. Defeat the Ender Dragon to gain an Ender Dragon Egg; hatch the egg to summon a baby Dragon to fight with you or your team (enemies can KO the Dragon Baby).

Omega Stage: a solitary dirt and stone island over the same background.

“Chirp (Battle Remix)”
“Stal (Battle Remix)”

Smash Run Enemies:
“Creepers:” Same as Creepers used in Steve's Final Smash, except for the inclusion of Charged Creepers.
“Endermen:” Same as Endermen as enemy hazards in Minecraftia. They teleport, steal Smash Run items, and becomes hostile when player characters face them.
“Witches:” They throw potions that harm, slow, and reverse the controls for players (temporarily).
“Ghasts:” Large flying enemies that belch fireballs.

Events:
“Born to Ride”- Steve has to capture all three pieces of the Dragoon on the Mario Circuit (Mario Kart 8) stage. The opponent is Bowser Jr. and he can only be defeated (thus clearing the stage) by using the Dragoon on him. Steve is also invincible but can be defeated by using the Dragoon used by Bowser Jr.
“The Curved Menace”- In the Minecraftia stage, Steve is invincible but has a health bar that goes down if there are at least 2 Kirbys around. Defeat the endless swarm of Kirbys (max. 7 at a time) to keep your health above zero until time runs out. You win if you reach time up with at least 1 point of health.
“Be a Creep”- In the Smashville arena, defeat the two Villagers by making them vulnerable. Turn off their invincibility by collecting a Poison Mushroom, Metal Box, and a Bob-omb. They will be vulnerable to attacks and even extra-vulnerable to explosions for 15 seconds when this happens.

Trophies:
“Steve”
“Steve (alt.)” (Steve in Mario skin)
“Creative Mode” (Final Smash Trophy)
“Creeper”
“Endermen”
